AUDIE

Age: 21

Instrument: Violin

Years in KEYS: 9

I first started with KEYS in 2013. KEYS gave me a scholarship to study violin and enrolled me in the Saturday morning orchestra. A summer camp offered an orchestral experience, a camp musical, workshops from visiting musicians, and among other things, offered 2 meals a day - all free of charge! To a shy 7th grader like me, it was paradise. In 2016, I became concertmaster of the KEYS orchestra - a once in a lifetime opportunity to play a solo with the KEYS orchestra at Carnegie Hall. These experiences made me realize that I wanted to dedicate my future life and career to music education. I am currently an intern for KEYS and set to graduate from Western Connecticut State University with a BS in Music Education in 2023. I look forward to passing on the gift of music that KEYS has generously bestowed on me to the next generation of young musicians.
